Eco-Fruit Orchard for Bizoha Orphans (Uganda) -- FULLY FUNDED

The project will plant fruit trees to be enjoyed by the Bizoha Orphans so that they have a constant supply of vitamins to their diet. The garden will be managed by Kasese Humanist School - a farm worker will be tasked to ensure trees maintenance and growth till fruition is achieved.

Kasese Humanist School will offer one acre piece of land to serve as a fruit orchard. Trees planted will be Mangoes, Avocados, Oranges, Papaya, Guavas, Lemons, Jack fruit, Soursop, Limes, and Tangerines, plus two medicinal trees: Neem  & Moringa Olifera. Garlic, Ginger , and red pepper will also be added to the fruit orchard.

Nursery Bed (Seedlings, Watering, Soil Preparation) - $84

Miscellaneous (Transport, security, fencing, pesticides) - $54

Who Benefits from the Project? 

The orphans and other children at the Bizoha School, and the teaching staff will all enjoy eating the fruits. The fruit orchard will also be a demonstration garden for enthusiastic gardeners among the students at the Bizoha school.

We shall generate income if the trees produce more fruit than we can consume.
